How Many Types Of Angry Birds Are There?

When it comes to the iconic Angry Birds franchise, the variety of feathered friends you can fling across your screen is quite impressive. The original Angry Birds game introduced us to nine playable birds, including the well-known Red, the speedy Chuck, and the explosive Bomb. This diverse cast of characters added a layer of strategy and fun to the gameplay that kept players hooked for hours on end.

In subsequent installments of the game, such as Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio, the bird roster expanded even further. In Seasons, we were introduced to ten unique birds, each with their own special abilities to help players tackle the seasonal challenges. Meanwhile, in the Rio edition, seven playable birds were joined by an egg, adding an interesting twist to the gameplay dynamics.

Angry Birds Space took the franchise to new heights – literally. With seven birds soaring through the cosmos, players had to adapt to the challenges of zero gravity and planetary physics. The space-themed installment added a fresh spin to the gameplay, keeping fans engaged and excited.

Bringing together two beloved franchises, Angry Birds Star Wars showcased seven birds donning iconic Star Wars character costumes, alongside an egg for good measure. The fusion of these two universes captivated fans of both franchises and presented new challenges inspired by the Star Wars galaxy.

Fast-forward to Angry Birds 2, where the number of playable birds skyrocketed to eleven, offering a wide range of options for players to experiment with in their quest to defeat the mischievous pigs. Additionally, the introduction of Leonard, the playable pig, added a unique twist to the classic bird-flinging formula.

Despite the multitude of feathered friends available in various Angry Birds games, the total number of unique bird characters across the franchise has left players spoiled for choice. With a grand total of eleven playable birds in the original game, ten in Seasons, seven in Rio, seven in Space, seven in Star Wars, and eleven in Angry Birds 2, there’s no shortage of avian allies to help you on your quest for revenge against those devious pigs.

Whether you prefer the classic Red for his straightforward approach, the explosive power of Bomb, or the high-flying antics of Chuck, each bird brings something unique to the table, challenging players to strategize and adapt to the ever-evolving puzzle dynamics.

As the Angry Birds franchise continues to evolve and introduce new game mechanics and characters, fans can look forward to even more avian adventures and challenges in the future. With each new addition to the roster, the gameplay experience is refreshed and reinvigorated, keeping players engaged and eager to discover what new feathered friends await them in the next installment.
